Abstract
Teacher quality is a key factor in educational success in schools. Competent, motivated teachers with a strong work ethic play a crucial role in creating an effective and meaningful learning process. However, the reality on the ground shows that challenges remain in human resource management in schools, such as a lack of ongoing development, a suboptimal performance evaluation system, and a failed collaborative work culture. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to apply human resource management (HRM) principles to improve teacher quality at SMP Negeri 3 Muara Bungo. The PKM program is conducted through three main stages: analyzing teacher needs and conditions, competency-based performance management training, and ongoing development through mentoring and reflective evaluation. The implementation method involves a participatory approach in which teachers actively participate in designing strategies for self-development and professional development. Results of the program demonstrate significant improvements in discipline, collaboration, and learning innovation. Teachers gain a better understanding of the importance of work planning, time management, and strengthening communication among colleagues. Overall, the implementation of HRM in the school environment has proven effective in building a productive and professional work culture. This program not only improves teacher competency but also strengthens the school's management system to be more adaptive to the changes and demands of 21st-century education.
