Main Article Content
Abstract
School accreditation is an educational quality assurance process aimed at assessing the suitability and performance of educational units based on national standards. However, many school principals still experience difficulties in preparing accreditation tools due to a lack of understanding of the eight educational standards and weak school administrative documentation. This Community Service Program (PKM) was implemented to provide guidance to school principals in systematically compiling, organizing, and completing accreditation documents. The assistance consisted of three main stages: training on compiling accreditation tools, technical guidance (bimtek) on completing accreditation instruments, and assistance with school self-evaluation (EDS). This activity involved 10 school principals in East Tanjung Jabung Regency. The implementation results showed a significant increase in the principals' understanding and skills in managing accreditation documents, as evidenced by an increase in readiness scores from an average of 62% to 89% after the assistance. This program demonstrates that participatory mentoring strategies are effective in helping principals achieve accreditation readiness and strengthening a culture of educational quality in their respective schools.
