Abstract

Improving the quality of education in junior high schools requires innovations that involve the active participation of teachers, students, parents, and the community. Community-based learning workshops are an effective strategy for building sustainable collaboration and enhancing teacher professionalism. This study aims to describe the implementation of collaborative workshops at SMP N 1 Tebo Regency, analyze the formation of learning communities, and assess their impact on the learning process and teacher competency. The research method used a qualitative descriptive approach through observation, interviews, and documentation of workshop activities. The results indicate that the workshops were able to form active learning communities, where teachers engaged in collaborative lesson planning, peer observation, and ongoing reflection. The participation of parents and community leaders strengthened external support for learning activities, while the implementation of collaborative practices increased teacher motivation and creativity. The impact on students was evident in increased engagement in project-based learning and reflective activities. These findings confirm that community-based learning workshops can be a quality education initiative by integrating collaboration, reflection, and community participation. This model has the potential to be replicated in other schools to strengthen a productive, sustainable, and relevant learning ecosystem for students.
