Abstract
Leadership training for village officials is a strategic effort to strengthen the governance capacity of village administrations in carrying out public service and participatory development. This Community Service Program (PKM) was conducted in Muaro Jambi Regency, aiming to enhance the leadership abilities of village officials through participatory-based training. The implementation method included needs assessment, module development, interactive sessions, and evaluation using pre-tests, post-tests, observations, and follow-up interviews. The results show a significant improvement in participants’ knowledge and leadership skills, especially in communication, collaboration, and participatory decision-making. Moreover, participants demonstrated behavioral changes toward more open, empathetic, and service-oriented leadership styles. This PKM activity provides a tangible contribution to improving human resource capacity at the village level and can serve as a sustainable training model for village governance in other regions.
