Strategi Efektif Dalam Pengelolaan Kegiatan Keagamaan Di Pondok Pesantren
Main Article Content
Abstract
Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren) play a strategic role in nurturing the faith, piety and moral character of young Muslim generations. Along with social, cultural and technological changes, the complexity of managing religious activities ranging from daily worship, classical-kitab study, dakwah outreach, to socio-religious community service in boarding schools increases. This community service project aimed to assist a partnering pesantren in Indonesia to formulate and implement effective managerial strategies for managing religious activities, with the goal of improving students’ involvement, operational effectiveness and sustainability of programmes. The method employed was a participatory approach: advocacy, facilitation of planning meetings, training of management, and accompaniment of programme implementation over six months. The results indicate that applying the management functions (planning, organising, directing, monitoring, evaluation) in a systematic and contextual manner improved the santri involvement in activities by 35 %, and significantly increased stakeholder satisfaction (with the administrators, santri, and management). The findings suggest that effective strategies in managing religious activities in pesantren must take into account a clear administrative structure, santri engagement as key actors, regular‐yet‐flexible scheduling, and measurable feedback mechanisms. Practically, the implication is that the paradigm of religious-activity management in boarding schools needs to be reinforced through a culture of continuous evaluation and adaptation to internal‐external dynamics of the institution.
