Abstract
The principal plays a central role in realizing the vision and mission of Islamic schools by ensuring effective management, supervision, and leadership rooted in Islamic values. However, many Islamic educational institutions still face managerial challenges, such as weak planning, limited supervision systems, and low collaboration between school leaders and teachers. This community service program aims to improve the managerial competence of school principals at MAN 2 Muaro Jambi through a participatory managerial training program. The program consists of three main stages: needs analysis, thematic managerial training, and evaluation with mentoring. The training materials include strategic planning, human resource management, academic supervision, and Islamic leadership. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires administered before and after training. The results show a significant improvement in the principals’ competence in planning, decision-making, communication, and supervision. Participants demonstrated stronger capacity in developing school work plans based on quality indicators, conducting reflective supervision, and fostering collaborative organizational culture. Furthermore, the integration of Islamic leadership values such as amanah, musyawarah, and ihsan strengthened the principals’ moral awareness and built trust among school members. This training program proved effective in enhancing managerial quality and school governance at MAN 2 Muaro Jambi, offering a replicable model for Islamic school leadership development.
