Meningkatkan Keterampilan Pidato Santri Melalui Manajemen Kegiatan Ekstrakurikuler

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to improve students’ (santri) speech skills through extracurricular activity management at Al-Hikmah Islamic Boarding School, Muaro Jambi Regency. The main problem faced by the institution was the students’ limited ability to deliver structured and confident public speeches. To address this issue, a training and mentoring program was implemented through extracurricular management focusing on muhadharah (routine speech practice), thematic speech competitions, and periodic evaluations. The method included needs analysis, activity planning, speech training, and ongoing mentoring. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ public speaking abilities in terms of content mastery, intonation, body language, and self-confidence. This program also enhanced the effectiveness of extracurricular activity management and fostered a positive communication culture within the Islamic boarding school community.
