Abstract

Improving students’ academic achievement is not solely determined by teachers’ instructional skills but also by the synergy among teachers, parents, and students. Effective collaboration among these three elements creates a supportive educational ecosystem that fosters both academic performance and character development. The Workshop on Strengthening Collaboration among Teachers, Parents, and Students to Improve Academic Achievement was conducted to enhance understanding of the importance of educational collaboration and to equip teachers with the ability to implement fun learning strategies in classroom practice. The activity was implemented through three main stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The workshop was held over two days using a participatory approach that included theoretical sessions, group discussions, case studies, and classroom simulations. Evaluation was conducted using participant satisfaction questionnaires, reflective discussions, and observation of fun learning implementation two weeks after the training. The results showed a significant improvement in teachers’ understanding of the fun learning concept (92%), their ability to design creative lesson plans aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum (88%), and a 12% increase in students’ average test scores after one month of implementation. Furthermore, participant satisfaction was high, with satisfaction levels of 94% for teachers, 90% for parents, and 88% for students. These findings indicate that fun learning not only enhances student motivation and engagement but also strengthens communication and collaboration between teachers and parents. In conclusion, this workshop successfully strengthened collaboration between schools and families in supporting students’ academic achievement. It is recommended that similar programs include continuous mentoring to sustain collaborative practices as a positive and integral culture within the school environment.
