Abstract

The development of science and technology requires Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) and Elementary School (SD) teachers to have competence in integrating scientific literacy-based approaches in natural science (science) learning. This Community Service Activity (PKM) aims to improve the ability of MI/SD teachers to understand the concept of scientific literacy, develop scientific literacy-based learning tools, and implement them in the learning process. The methods used are workshops, mentoring, and direct practice in preparing teaching tools. The activity was carried out at MI Al-Irsyad Bayung Lencir in September 2025 with 25 MI/SD teachers participating. The results of the activity show an increase in teachers' understanding of the concept of scientific literacy by 85% based on the results of the pretest and posttest, as well as an increase in teachers' ability to design RPPs and LKPD based on scientific literacy. Thus, this workshop succeeded in increasing teachers' pedagogical competence in implementing the Independent Curriculum based on scientific literacy.
