Abstract

This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to strengthen parents’ competence in implementing digital parenting to ensure safe, wise, and developmentally appropriate media use among early childhood learners. The program was motivated by the increasing exposure of young children to digital devices and the limited digital literacy skills among parents. The implementation method included needs analysis, digital parenting workshops, hands-on parental control practice, and evaluation of parents’ understanding. The activity involved 25 parents of PAUD students in Jambi City and was conducted in one day with interactive learning methods. The results show that parents gained an improved understanding of screen time rules, content filtering, and strategies for accompanying children in digital media use. Parents also demonstrated the ability to set up parental control features and apply healthy digital habits at home. This program is expected to serve as a reference model for digital parenting education for early childhood parents.
