GREEN CLASS FOR LITTLE LEARNERS: PENERAPAN PENDIDIKAN LINGKUNGAN PADA ANAK USIA DINI
Main Article Content
Abstract
Environmental education from early childhood is a crucial step in developing a generation that is aware and caring toward environmental sustainability. The Green Class for Little Learners program is designed to integrate environmental education in an enjoyable, practical, and contextual way for children aged 4–6 years. Activities include nature observation, mini gardening, creative recycling, educational games, and environmental stories and songs. This study employed experiential learning and play-based learning methods, with active participation of children, teachers, and parents through Green Home Activities. The results indicate improvements in ecological literacy, motor and creative skills, socio-emotional abilities, and the internalization of pro-environmental behaviors among children. Recommended activities include strengthening gardening and nature observation, developing long-term creative recycling projects, and integrating activities with family and community. This program demonstrates that hands-on environmental education effectively nurtures a generation that is environmentally aware, responsible, and caring.
